The Cantori Choral Ensemble will present its 2024 Spring Concert on Sunday, May 12, at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary of Abingdon Episcopal Church, 4645 George Washington Highway, Gloucester.

Cantori is an auditioned choral ensemble composed of professional musicians and experienced singers, under the direction of Agnes French.

In keeping with Mother’s Day, the theme for this year’s concert is True Love. The ensemble will sing music about love in its various forms, from agapé love to the love of a mother for her child and the love of a father for his child, folksong and ballads about love, and romantic love. Some of the pieces on the program will be sung a cappella, while others will be accompanied by piano, double bass, flute and clarinet.

Advance tickets may be reserved for Will-Call by sending a check made out to Cantori to 3341 Derby Lane, Williamsburg, Va. 23185. Tickets will also be available at the door. Advance tickets are $15 for adults, and $20 at the door.
