Virginia Coyle has been selected as the Featured Artist of the Month for October by the Bay School Community Arts Center in Mathews. Coyle’s upcoming exhibit will showcase a seasonal collection of assemblage shadow boxes and folk-art Halloween painting, said a press release, “bringing a touch of nostalgic charm and eerie magic to the gallery.” A longtime, cherished member of the Bay School family, Coyle balances her time between supporting daily gallery operations, teaching community outreach programs, and leading art classes for both adults and children, said the release. Outside of her work as an educator, she is a versatile, multi-disciplinary artist with wide-ranging artistic passions that include painting, sewing, building intricate dollhouses, creating miniatures, and upcycling thrifted finds into treasures.
