For the first time, Virginia will have Fall Free Fishing Days this weekend, from Friday through Sunday. On these days, no fishing licenses of any kind or facilities use permits will be required for recreation rod and reel fishing, according to the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources. Free fishing applies to saltwater and freshwater alike, DWR said.
