The Nov. 7 General Election will produce crowded ballots in both Gloucester and Mathews counties. Frequently civic groups sponsor forums where candidates can discuss their platforms.

We are asking these groups to let us know when and where the forums will be held. Please call 804-693-3101, or email editor@gazettejournal.net.

Gloucester County

Wednesday, Sept. 13, The Gloucester County Branch of the NAACP will hold a candidate forum at 6 p.m. at the T.C. Walker Education Center, 6099 T C Walker Road. All candidates for state and local office have been invited. The event will be recorded and made available for later viewing for those unable to attend.

Monday, Sept. 18, Shepherdsville Baptist Church and the Gloucester Union Relief Association of Missionary Baptist will host a Meet and Greet with Gloucester School Board candidates at 6 p.m. at Shepherdsville Church, 878...
