Registration is underway for the Mathews Market Days 5K Run and Junior Mile, which will be held on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 11, starting from Williams Wharf Landing. The 5K run is the third race in the 2010 Williams Wharf Landing Race Series.

The 5K race is open to all ages; the Junior Mile is for children 12 and under. In each race, trophies will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers and medals given to the top three age group winners.

Race-day registration and packet pick-up opens at 7 a.m. The 5K race begins at 8 a.m., while the Junior Mile starts at 9. The 5K course closes by 8:45 a.m. The entry fee for either the 5K or Junior Mile is $12 for pre-registration (by Sept. 7); $15 on race day.
