Following his performance at the Virginia High School League’s Region 4A Golf Tournament last week, Gloucester High School senior Aidan Mudrie has qualified to compete in the Class 4 State championship. The region tournament was held over two days, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.On the first day of the tournament, senior Fenton Scott shot the lowest with a 75. Mudrie shot a 77, followed by junior Ethan Greene with an 83 and senior Mason Schmidt with an 86. The team’s total at the end of the day was 321, a season low for Gloucester. This performance led to Gloucester placing in the top four teams, securing its place for the second day of the tournament.“Day two of the tournament proved to be much tougher,” said head coach David Lutz.Gloucester shot a 351 on the second day, finishing in fourth place.
