The Piankatank Community League will host the semiannual meeting of the Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc., and appreciation dinner on Monday evening. These dinners and meetings have been conducted by the PCL for over 30 years. All Harcum residents, and those in the county that wish to show their appreciation for some service they have recently received (such as a 911 call), are invited to participate. The event will be held at the PCL Hall located at 11888 Harcum Road. Those wishing to demonstrate their thanks for GVFD’s service are asked to bring their favorite covered dish, or dessert, to the hall between 5:30 and 6 p.m. “This has always been a meaningful event and if you can bring a food contribution, the league and firemen would appreciate it,” said PCL chair Phil Olekszyk....
