Planning is underway for Gloucester Day, Saturday, Sept. 5, a day celebrated by places around the world named Gloucester. Gloucester, Virginia will be the special honoree this year as the county celebrates its 375th birthday anniversary. “For one unforgettable day, Main Street and the Historic Courthouse Area will transform into Gloucester’s biggest ever community block party,” promises a release from the county. Gloucester Day will feature multiple musical stages all day, living history demonstrations, artisan and craft vendors, food trucks, and activities for children and families. On this day, the Gloucester Court Green “will be reimagined as Gloucester’s coolest gathering space—a vibrant lounge area where friends, neighbors, and visitors can relax, connect, and celebrate together,” the release said.
