Trick-or-treating hours set in Gloucester; Main Street to hold event

Gloucester County officials have set a trick-or-treat timeframe of 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday for Halloween. They also recommend that trick-or-treating be limited to children age 12 or younger under adult supervision.

The annual Main Street Trick or Treat event will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Main Street will be closed to thru traffic during that time, but residents and emergency responders will be allowed access. More than 35 businesses and organizations are planning to participate.

The Main Street event is sponsored by the Gloucester Main Street Association, the Main Street Preservation Trust and the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office.

For all trick-or-treaters, the sheriff’s office suggests that costumes be of bright material, visible in the dark or have reflective tape. Face paint is preferable to masks, which may hinder vision, and flashlights should be carried.
