Triad Senior Health Fair to be held Nov. 10

The annual Senior Health Fair sponsored by Mathews County Triad will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Mathews Baptist Church, Hudgins.

New this year will be a free Survival First Aid Kit for the first 100 registrants, said Lt. Sid Foster of the Mathews County Sheriff’s Office. In addition, participants will be eligible for a door prize—a 32-inch flat-screen television.

The featured speaker this year will be Kim Weitzenhofer of the Riverside Center for Excellence in Aging and Lifelong Health, who will discuss geriatric health.

There will also be an afternoon panel discussion with representatives of various health entities, including Weitzenhofer, Cynthia Barrack and Bev Norris of Riverside Home Health, Sue Moffit of Riverside Hospice, Bonnie Cross of Sanders Retirement Community, Bri Sadler of Sentara Therapy Center Mathews, Don and Christie Talbott of the Alzheimer’s Association, and Pam Taylor, a home technician for Riverside Alert.
