Skaters at the Triangle Skateboard Alliance skate camp held at Gloucester’s Brown Park had the chance to work on their craft with a professional skater, as 1990s East Coast street skating legend Jaime Reyes partnered with TSA for the event held June 17-21.

Reyes, who was born in Hawaii, rose to fame in the 1990s as a New York-based street skater. Her prowess on a board landed her on the cover of Thrasher, the premier skateboarding publication, in 1994, making her one of only three women to be featured on the cover in the history of the magazine. In 2018, her pro board and that Thrasher cover were even featured in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.
