Livestrong

Livestrong, a free, 12-week program for those surviving and fighting cancer, begins later this month at the Mathews Family YMCA in Hudgins. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting Sept. 15. The program will focus on building muscle mass and strength; increasing flexibility, endurance, and balance; and improving confidence and self-esteem. The program “focuses on you—the whole person—not cancer,” a release said. The program is open to those living in Middlesex, Mathews and Gloucester. Caregivers and spouses are also eligible to participate. To register or for more information, contact instructor Tracy Battilla at 804-316-9191 or Tracy.Battilla@ymcavp.org.
