Six new members to be inducted to GHS Hall of Fame

The Gloucester High School Athletic Department will induct its seventh Hall of Fame class tomorrow night. Inductees include Amy Rilee, Brenda Sue Jenkins Riley, Jim Coley, Dr. Hugh Bryan, Nina Carter and VaKara Forrest.

A reception for the honorees will be held at 5:15 p.m. in the Duke Rock Cafe at GHS and induction ceremonies will take place during halftime of the home football game against Menchville. The reception is free and open to the public.

Rilee played varsity softball for four years, hitting over .300 and pitching. She was also the lone female competitor on the GHS cross country team for three years. As a harrier, Rilee was 10th in the district as a freshman, third as a sophomore and seventh as a junior. In regional meets, she was ninth her sophomore year and fourth as a junior. During an injury-plagued senior year, she was 11th in the district. She also received recognition from the Peninsula Sports Club and was named Most Athletic at GHS as a senior.
