Kristen Hickman of Gloucester, was named to the fall semester dean’s list at the University of Alabama where she is a freshman majoring in physical therapy. The recognition requires a 3.5 or higher grade point average. Hickman has also been invited to join the Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies, and has been accepted to the Honors College at Alabama. A rowing team member, Hickman earned a seat on the Crimson Tide’s top varsity boat last fall and will compete in the San Diego Crew Classic later this month.

Isabelle Padilla has been named Mathews Boys & Girls Club’s youth of the month for January. She was selected for her attitude, participation, and willingness to help staff and younger members.
