Transportation issues addressed at brief town hall

The Mathews County School Board held a brief town hall meeting on Tuesday night in the Brooks Auditorium at the Thomas Hunter Education Center, with only one member of the public addressing the board.About a dozen people were in attendance, with Richard Hicks of North the sole speaker. In his first appearance at the podium, he asked about transportation expenses. Aside from normal bus operations, he inquired about the cost of special buses and cars to take small numbers of students out of the county, seeking a detailed breakdown.Superintendent of Schools Dr. David S.
