Northern Neck Orchestra to perform March 2

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture will be showcased at the Northern Neck Orchestra’s concert on Saturday, March 2, which features the sweeping melodies and glorious orchestrations of the Romantic era.

The performance at the Lancaster Elementary School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock, also will include Elfrida Andrée’s Concert Overture in D Major, Antonín Dvořák’s American Suite in A Major and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be preceded by a pre-concert talk by the orchestra’s Music Director Michael Repper at 6:45. Tickets are $40 and may be purchased online at www.northernneckorchestra.org or at the door. Students are admitted free of charge.
