Gloucester Wine Festival set for Saturday

Thirteen wineries and a cider cellar will highlight the 10th annual Gloucester Wine Festival that will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in the gardens of Brent and Becky’s, Ware Neck. 

Confirmed wineries this year include Williamsburg Winery, Kilaurwen Winery, Saudé Creek Vineyards, Mattaponi Winery, Vinters Cellar Winery of Yorktown, Rebec Vineyards, General’s Ridge Vineyards, Good Luck Cellars, Vault Field Vineyard, Naked Mountain Winery, Lake Anna Winery, Lazy Day’s Winery and Prince Michel Vineyard & Winery.

“In addition, we are excited to announce that we will have a Virginia cider-tasting provided by Cobbler Mountain Cellars,” said Gloria Williams, executive director of the Gloucester Chamber of Commerce, which is organizing the event.

The festival will feature wine tastings, educational seminars, live musical entertainment from Hampton Roads-based band SlapNation and Mercy Creek, a folk rock band from Kilmarnock. Festival-g...
