GHS renovation project reaches completion

After two-and-a-half years of construction, Gloucester High School students will return for the 2025-2026 academic year on Aug. 25 to a fully renovated building.
“The whole building’s done now,” said Dave Miller, Gloucester County Public Schools Facilities & Construction Associate Director.
All students will be attending their classes in the GHS building this academic year. Many classes were displaced to outdoor modular classrooms during the renovation process, which lasted two full school years. The temporary classrooms have now been removed from the site.
This summer, the construction team finished up the auditorium and ‘C’ hall. The auditorium has a new sprinkler system, floors, renovated bathrooms, new carpets and freshly cleaned curtains.
“It looks really nice,” said Deputy Superintendent Bryan Hartley.
Also, during the summer months, renovations were completed on ‘C’ hall’s auxiliary classrooms.
