Gloucester County names new CFO

Gloucester County’s Interim County Administrator George Bains announced on Tuesday the appointment of Sasi Wojcik as the county’s new Chief Financial Officer.

Wojcik brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in finance and accounting across a wide range of sectors, including local government, nonprofit organizations, higher education, government contracting, health care, manufacturing and international finance, a release stated.

Most recently, she served for eight years as Finance and Accounting Director for a nonprofit organization, where she provided strategic financial leadership and oversight. Throughout her career, Wojcik has led organizations in financial planning, budgeting, treasury management, financial reporting, audit oversight, grants administration, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and long-term fiscal strategy.

“One of my greatest strengths is my ability to combine hands-on operational expertise with executive-level financial strategy,” said Wojcik. “I am committed to building strong relationships at every level of an organization and fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, accountability, and continuous improvement. I lead with integrity, sound judgment, and high ethical standards essential to effective financial leadership. I am excited and humbled for the opportunity to serve as CFO of Gloucester County.”

Bains said Wojcik’s broad financial expertise and collaborative approach make her an outstanding addition to the county’s leadership team.

“Sasi brings a wealth of financial experience and a proven record of responsible fiscal leadership,” he said. “Her diverse background, strategic mindset, and commitment to transparency and accountability will serve Gloucester County well as we continue to responsibly manage public resources while planning for the future. We are excited to welcome her to our team.”

As CFO, Wojcik will oversee the county’s financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, treasury management, procurement, debt management, and long-range financial planning.

Wojcik earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the College of William and Mary. She resides in York County with her husband, and they have a daughter who is currently attending college.
