After two years of construction, Sears Contracting Corporation in Ark has opened a brand-new facility designed to host contractors, offices, large projects, oversized storage items and more. This is much larger than its on-site storage units. “It’s basically ready to go,” said business owner Randall Sears. The building measures 175 feet in length, holding seven bays with steel doors, and is hurricane resistant. There are no walls between the bays or units currently as the space can be customizable depending on the customer’s needs. “The whole building is totally insulated,” said Sears. The units are all able to connect to electricity and the internet. Customers can also hook up their units to plumbing, as well as heating and cooling. Each space is rentable by yearly contracts.
