The Woodville Rosenwald School will be open to the public this Saturday, Feb. 1, and on the first Saturday of each month in 2025 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The school is located at 4310 George Washington Memorial Highway, Hayes.
Built in 1923, Woodville School is the only remaining one of six Rosenwald schools built in Gloucester County in the 1920s. The building has been renovated to serve as a museum and space for community meetings and events.
The mission of the Woodville Rosenwald School Foundation is to seek, share, and preserve the history of African American education in Gloucester County and beyond. For more information, visit www.woodvillerosenwaldschool.org....
