Workshop to be held on what it takes to be a wildlife rehabilitator

Have you ever thought about becoming a licensed wildlife rehabilitator?

A free workshop will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, at the Gloucester Library, Main Street Center, to find out about the work. Evelyn’s Wildlife Refuge, a nonprofit organization based in Suffolk, will be putting on this program.

The workshop will give participants a chance to ask, learn about the daily duties of a wildlife rehabber, and get help with the procedures in becoming permitted.

“We will also help you find a sponsor, whether it’s with us or another great rescue in the area specific to the species you are interested in rehabbing,” a release stated.

While there is no cost for the workshop, registration is required. To register for the workshop, visit https://form.jotform.com/92165739584167. For details about Evelyn’s Wildlife Refuge, visit the organization’s Facebook page or go to www.evelynswildliferefuge.org. ...
