Workshop to be held on what it takes to be a wildlife rehabilitator

Have you ever thought about becoming a licensed wildlife rehabilitator?

A free workshop will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, at the Gloucester Library, Main Street Center, to find out about the work. Evelyn’s Wildlife Refuge, a nonprofit organization based in Suffolk, will be putting on this program.

The workshop will give participants a chance to ask, learn about the daily duties of a wildlife rehabber, and get help with the procedures in becoming permitted.

“We will also help you find a sponsor, whether it’s with us or another great rescue in the area specific to the species you are interested in rehabbing,” a release stated.

While there is no cost for the workshop, registration is required. To register for the workshop, visit For details about Evelyn’s Wildlife Refuge, visit the organization’s Facebook page or go to ...
