WILLIAM (BILL) EUGENE HARTBARGER

William (Bill) Eugene Hartbarger, aka “Wild Bill” of Lexington, went to meet his father, Charles William Hartbarger, and mother, Mildred McKemy Hartbarger, on March 2, 2022 at 3:30 a.m.

Bill attended Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., studying business management and then transferred to Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, N.C., where he continued his studies; also where he and Shelia met. After Bill and Shelia married, Bill went to ECPI and majored in computer programming. He began his career as a computer programmer working for W&L in Lexington. He then transferred to Mary Baldwin College where he continued computer programming. After a while in the profession of computer programming, Bill decided to follow his father’s footsteps and became a master carpenter owning his own business (All Season’s Maintenance) and specialized in custom kitchen cabinets, his specialty was trimming and refurbishing homes. He was loved by many and never hesitated to share his construction knowledge.
He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He was the father of Shenan Hartbarger-Hostetter, Natasha Leigh Hartbarger, Tonya Danielle Hartbarger, and William Eugene Hartbarger II; husband of Shelia Miller-Hartbarger; grandfather of Jacob Hostetter, Bryan Hostetter, Zachary Hartbarger, Anja Hartbarger, Ian Hartbarger, William Hartbarger III, and Selena Hartbarger; great-grandfather of Dustyn Hostetter, Lucus Hostetter, Delilah Hostetter, Dekota Hostetter, and Elizus Hostetter, and a friend to everyone that met him.

Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel. Mathews, Virginia, is assisting the family.
