Nile Kenneth Cecil, age 88, of Gloucester Point, died on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. Nile was born on September 5, 1938 to the late Dolly McMasters and Jessie L. Cecil. In addition to his parents, Nile was preceded in death by his siblings, Jessie Cecil, Lloyd Cecil, Floyd Cecil, Carl Cecil, Bill Cecil, Lila Garrett, and Madelyn Frickle. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Kay Cecil; his children, Kenneth Cecil and Joyce Mitchell (Dennis Mitchell); his grandchildren, Hannah Campbell Gregg (Lucas Gregg) and Deanna Mitchell (Jaedon McManus); his great-granddaughter, Everleigh McManus, and his brother, David Cecil. The family received friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 6-7 p.m. The funeral service was held at Bethany United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 3, 2026, conducted by Pastor John Choi, beginning at 11 a.m. The interment followed in Gloucester Point Cemetery.
