Brenda Susan Owens Allmond, 73, of Gloucester, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026. She was the daughter of Bettye Hudgins Owens and the late Stanford Owens.
She retired from the office of Dr. Sam English, DDS, as office manager.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Owens, and is survived by her husband, Walter Edward Allmond Jr.; children, Suzanne Blanks (Michael), James “Jay” Smith (Stephanie); stepdaughters, Emily Allmond Flippin (Bobby), Stephanie Jenkins (Chris); her siblings, Stanford Owens Jr. (Glenda), Dorothy Adams and David Owens; grandchildren, Tyler Busic (Stevie), Billy Jenkins, Molly Smith, Leslie Jenkins, Aiden Zeliff, Carter Page Flippin, Dylan Smith, Addie Smith, and Zoe Blanks; three great-grandchildren; aunt, June Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2026, in the chapel of Andrews Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bellamy United Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to either Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue, or to the VCU Health Pauley Heart Center at VCU-MCV.
