Wetlands board approves bulkhead request

The Gloucester County Wetlands Board held its monthly meeting on Oct. 14 to review a request by Treavor Green to construct a 105-foot vinyl bulkhead with backfill on his property on Yacht Club Lane.

The board unanimously voted to approve the project, with 500 square-feet of offsite mitigation, an approved mitigation plan, and a surety.

Following the meeting of the wetlands board, the members reconvened as the Gloucester County Chesapeake Bay Preservation and Erosion Commission. The commission unanimously approved four applications.

Thomas Mares of Wellford Circle was given authorization to construct a new pool, porch and pool house. The construction will begin with the removal of an existing porch and sunroom. Approval was granted on condition that Mares install two planting units and a surety.
