Walk to End Alzheimer’s to be held Oct. 5 in Gloucester

The 2019 Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, with the walk beginning in front of Split Enz Salon on Main Street, Gloucester.

Registration starts at 8 a.m., with the pre-walk ceremony to begin at 9:30. The walk itself starts at 10. The length of the route is 2 miles.

The walk is the signature fundraiser event for the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck office of the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Richmond chapter. All funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimer’s further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. The Alzheimer’s Association is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, with all donations tax deductible.

All walkers are asked to fill out a registration. There is no registration fee; however, each participant is asked to make a personal donation and commit to raising funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
