A group of Gloucester citizens have come together to encourage others to “Vote Yes for Gloucester” by supporting the bond referendum on the Nov. 7 general election ballot.
They are inviting anyone interested to their kickoff meeting from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20, in the Community Room of the Gloucester Public Library.
At the meeting, attendees will hear directly from community leaders from all walks of life about what this referendum would do for Gloucester, and what it would mean for them personally, a release stated.
“This bond will help us keep our community safer, renovate for better schools, and improve our parks and recreational opportunities. Together, we can make Gloucester even more of ‘the land of the life worth living,’ while saving tax dollars in the long-term,” said Marjo Holthaus, chair of “Vote Yes for Gloucester.” She added, “Please join us on Wednesday, Sept. 20, to learn more.”
All citizens may visit gloucesterva.gov/2023-bond-referendum for more information. Anyone wishing to confirm their attendance or ask questions may email Marjo Holthaus at marjo.holthaus@gmail.com.
