Virginia Estelle Owens, 81, of North, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, at Riverside Convalescent Center-Mathews. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church and a graduate of Mathews High School. Virginia loved football, college basketball and watching Donnie and Dustin race cars. She previously worked at Frank’s Truck Stop, Andy’s BBQ and Mathews High School cafe-teria.

She is survived by her son, Donnie Wayne Owens (Sandy); a grandson, Dustin Owens (Nikki); a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Kellum (Wesley); great-grandchildren, Dawson, Devin, and Robert Michael; two sisters, Susan Smith and Shirley Sadler (Ronnie); a brother, Sherwood Daniels (Lisa), and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Friday, Aug. 19, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia. A graveside service was held on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Cobbs Creek, Virginia.

Those attending brought chairs for their comfort.
