VDOT Edgehill project slated to begin in September

The Virginia Department of Transportation is preparing for an improvement at the Edgehill intersection in Gloucester, where Routes 17, 3 and 14 intersect at the east end of Main Street. The project is slated to begin in September, and VDOT crews to start preparing this week, a release said.

Other projects

Paving at night continues this week on Main Street, Buckley Hall Road and Church Street in Mathews, with alternating lane closures affecting traffic. After paving, the roads will be marked and the shoulders treated with stone.

Paving is also underway in West Point on major roads and town roads; and in King and Queen, at the intersection of Routes 14 and 33, VDOT said.
