Variety of DMV service options available

Whether you plan ahead, take life one task at a time, or prefer to stay at home in your pajamas, the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles has a service option for you.

The days of not knowing how long you’’ll be at DMV are done, a release from DMV stated. Customers can save time by making an appointment, reserving their walk-in spot in advance, checking wait times before a walk-in visit, or taking advantage of more than 50 services available at dmvNOW.com.

“We’re taking the guesswork out of DMV business,” said Acting Commissioner Linda Ford. “Our service options and resources help customers tailor their DMV experience to easily fit it into their daily lives. They can make an appointment, reserve a spot for same-day service, know the wait time before walking in, or, in many cases, skip the visit altogether and use our online services.”
