Valedictorians: GHS Class of ’13 is one to be remembered

Gloucester High School held its 60th annual commencement Saturday at William and Mary Hall, and for the first time in the memory of school officials, celebrated a class with two valedictorians.

Leah Procopi and Lee Siegle, the co-valedictorians of the Class of 2013, stood at the podium together to deliver their commencement addresses.

"Usually there is only one valedictorian, they actually said it was statistically impossible for us to be tied; but our class has never done things the usual way," said Siegle. "From winning the spirit stick as freshmen, to charging across the football field at our senior pep rally, this class is one to be remembered. And that is what today is about, remembering the fun we’ve had while together, and preparing ourselves for the future."
