Trick-or-treaters to come to Gloucester’s Main Street

The Gloucester Main Street Association, along with the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office and the Main Street Preservation Trust, will host trick-or-treating on Main Street from 5:30-8 p.m. next Wednesday, Oct. 31.

The same timeframe has also been established by the sheriff’s office for general trick-or-treating throughout the county.

Businesses and community organizations will participate in the Main Street event by handing out treats to children. Road closures will be in effect for Main Street from 5 to 8:30 p.m. for all thru traffic. Residents, business patrons and emergency vehicles will be allowed access.

“Halloween is intended to be a fun event for children and families and also a time to be extra cautious and careful to keep everyone safe,” said Gloucester County spokesperson Christi Lewis. The Sheriff’s Office recommends trick-or-treating to be limited to children 12 years of age and under with adult supervision.
