Thomas Daniel “Tommy” Smith, age 58, of Shacklefords, Va., was welcomed to his heavenly home on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021. Tommy was born July 12, 1963 in Norfolk, Va., to the late Larry Smith and Carol Ann McAdams Smith. He worked as a boatbuilder for many years with Wahoo Boats, Gloucester Yachts, and most recently with Tuckers Recreational. He was especially skilled in fiberglass finishing and repairs. His handiwork can be seen in the many Gloucester Beehive sculptures that he made for Gloucester’s 350th Celebration. Tommy lived a quiet life on the York River. He was a proud father who loved his family and loved the Lord.  

He is survived by his son, Jason Smith; his brother, Richard (Denine) Smith; three sisters, Linda (Tom) Ligon, Sue Young, and Mary Helbig, and a host of nieces and nephews.
