Teens indicted in Beaverdam Park shooting

Two Gloucester teenagers were indicted by a grand jury Monday in connection with the shooting of a county teen in Beaverdam Park last July.

Dishon Shamar Robinson, 17, of Hayes and Juan Xavier Bautista, 15, of Gloucester were each indicted on one charge of malicious wounding, one charge of using a firearm in committing a felony and one ancillary misdemeanor charge of possessing a firearm under the age of 18.

The Gloucester Sheriff’s Office said it received a call on July 17, 2018 regarding a juvenile with multiple gunshot wounds that were sustained at Beaverdam Park off Farys Mill Road. The victim was transported to an undisclosed hospital for treatment and survived the gunshots.

Robinson and Bautista were taken into custody later that day and were charged as juveniles on Aug. 3, 2018. A sheriff’s office spokesman said all three of the teens involved knew each other.
