Mathews residents had an opportunity to see the schooner Virginia ply the county’s waters on Monday. The vessel (shown here at Hills Bay) was in Deltaville over the weekend conducting crew training in the Fishing Bay Marina pool. Earlier in the month, the Virginia took part in the Parade of Sail during Harborfest. Today, the tall ship is back at its home port at Nauticus in Norfolk for a Party on the Pier celebration. ...
