With a traditional birthday party out of the question because of the current pandemic, family and friends of 11-year-old Nick DeLutis found a unique way to celebrate his special day. On Saturday, a parade of over 20 cars drove past his home in the Founders Mill subdivision in Gloucester to let Nick know they were celebrating with him. According to his aunt, Cheryl Slavnik, the parade included “people from the community who didn’t even know my nephew before today.” Slavnik said that several members from LightHouse Worship Center even drove by, even though none of the family is a member of the church. The act of kindness was an uplifting event in this time of uncertainty.
