Students recognized at school board meeting

The Gloucester County School Board recognized students for various achievements at its January meeting, held last Wednesday, Jan. 10, in the T.C. Walker Education Center auditorium.

Oksana Oshidar was recognized as January’s Gloucester High School Senior of the Month. She is an honor roll student with a grade point average of 3.652 and is a member of the GHS French Honor Society. She is an avid reader who enjoys psychological thrillers, suspense novels and murder mysteries.

Oshidar is passionate about photography and is in the process of completing her senior independent research project on architectural photography. She also enjoys taking photos of nature, fashion and portraits. Oshidar plans to study photography at Virginia Commonwealth University after graduation.
