State ag board to meet in Gloucester

The Virginia Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Brent and Becky’s in the Chesapeake Lounge, 7900 Daffodil Lane, Gloucester.
Members of the state board will be welcomed by Phil Bazzani, vice chairman of the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors. At 2 p.m., the board will exit its regular meeting to hold a public hearing on proposed regulations related to regulations for enforcement of the noxious weeds law, enforcement of the Endangered Plant and Insect Species Act, and the Spotted Lanternfly Quarantine.
At the conclusion of the public hearings, the board will resume its regularly scheduled meeting. The complete agenda is available online at www.vdcas.virginia.gov.
