Shooting suspects in custody; 13-year-old in hospital

The Gloucester County Sheriff's Office received a call at approximately 1:30 p.m. on July 17 regarding a 13-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds. The injuries were sustained at Beaverdam Park off of Farys Mill Road in Gloucester.

The male was transported to an undisclosed hospital, and is currently in stable condition, said the press release.

The sheriff's office earlier released a public safety message to local media and on social media warning that possibly three male suspects were at large. They were described as a black male, a white male, and a hispanic male with a large afro who should be considered armed and dangerous. The public was warned not to approach them if they were seen, but to call 911. It was later determined that there were only two suspects, and at 4 p.m. two juvenile subjects were taken into custody.
