SHIRLEY ANN DUDLEY

Shirley Ann Dudley of Hayes, passed away peacefully on Jan. 1, 2022, with her family by her side. Shirley had a passion for crocheting, liked playing the organ, loved her two poodles “Candy” and “Gidget,” and, of course, adored her family. She was computer savvy and never forgot a name. She retired in 1988 from Transportation School at Ft. Eustis. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and attended faithfully until her health would no longer allow. Husband, Charles Gordon Dudley preceded her in death. Shirley is survived by her children, Cindy Mosher (Joe), Joy Loveland (Jeff), Cheryl Lineberry (Ben), Charles Dudley Jr. (Teresa); a special friend whom she thought of as a daughter, Pam Barnette; grandchildren, Ralph Motley Jr. (Mary Beth), Christy Motley, Jennifer Barber, January Wells, Chris Owens, Tyler Loveland, Joshua Dudley, Zachary Denton, Ryan Denton; 10 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service, conducted by the Rev. Tom Gaskins, will be held at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, 3501 Providence Road, Hayes, Va. 23072, on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, at 1 p.m. In memory of our loved one, contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Association c/o Anne Dyal, 8374 Kitchener Drive, Gloucester, Va. 23061 or The National Kidney Foundation, 5001 W.
