Sheryl Kay Hugate, 71, of Hudgins, Virginia, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021.

She was a former resident of Williamsburg before moving to Mathews County. She was a cable technician employed by Cox Communications for 18 years.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald R. Hugate; three sons, Ronald R. Hugate Jr., Christopher W. Hugate, and Terry Allen Hugate; a brother, James Reynolds; three sisters, Donna Reynolds, Diana Tennis and Joyce Champion, and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
