HRSD was replacing a vacuum pot in Mathews High School’s septic system on Tuesday. Ryan Wilson, foreman with Walter C. Via Enterprises of West Point, the contractor for the project, said that the system wasn’t working up to par, so it needed to be upgraded in order for the wastewater to be able to be pumped from the high school to HRSD’s main vacuum line and pump station.
