Blood donors in Gloucester have several opportunities over the next few weeks to donate.

American Red Cross bloodmobiles will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Newington Baptist Church, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2 at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital and from 2-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12 at Petsworth Baptist Church.

The Red Cross is currently testing blood, platelet and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies. Results of those tests, which indicates if the donor’s immune system has produced antibodies to the coronavirus, will be made available to donors within one or two weeks.
