Second teen pleads guilty in shooting

The second of two local teenagers charged with shooting and wounding a third Gloucester teen last summer in Beaverdam Park pleaded guilty to his charges in Gloucester Circuit Court on Tuesday.

Dishon Shamar Robinson, 17, of Gloucester pleaded guilty to the felonies of malicious wounding and using of a firearm in committing a felony. He also pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of underage possession of a firearm. Judge Jeffrey Shaw accepted the pleas and found Robinson guilty of all three charges.

Robinson’s co-defendant, Juan Xavier Bautista, 15, of Hayes pleaded guilty to the same three charges in Gloucester Circuit Court on March 3. 

In proffering her evidence against Robinson, Gloucester Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Megan Zwisohn said Gloucester Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Farys Mill Road entrance to Beaverdam Park around 1:30 p.m. on July 17, 2018.
