Saturday is deadline to ask for hearing on Route 17 sidewalk plan

Saturday is the deadline to submit a written request for a public hearing on the Virginia Department of Transportation’s planned pedestrian improvement along Route 17 at Gloucester Point.

The project will add 2,500 feet of sidewalk along Route 17 southbound at Gloucester Point. Project information is available for review at VDOT’s Saluda Residency in Urbanna.

A public hearing may be requested by sending a written request to Nate Huber, project manager, VDOT, 87 Deacon Road, Fredericksburg, Va. 22405 on or prior to Saturday. If a request for public hearing is received, notice of date, time and place of the hearing will be posted.
