Salvation Army volunteer bell ringers sought in Gloucester

Salvation Army red kettle season is almost here, and volunteers are needed to lend a hand in the annual fundraising effort. The familiar red kettle collections have been a part of the Christmas giving season for more than 130 years.

Public contributions to Salvation Army kettles enable the organization to continue its year-round efforts to help those who would otherwise be forgotten.

“Have you started thinking about holiday volunteering yet? It’s not too early to make plans to ring with family, friends or with your church or even by yourself,” said Maria Post of the Salvation Army’s Gloucester Service Center.

For more information, or to sign up as a volunteer bell ringer, contact Post at 804-642-3960 or Antonia.post@uss.salvationmarmy.org.
