Roscher to talk about being a USCG rescue swimmer at MMF meeting

Tim Roscher will talk about his experiences as a U.S. Coast Guard rescue swimmer during the next meeting of the Mathews Maritime Foundation, which will be held at 7 p.m. next Thursday, Nov. 14, at the MMF Museum, Main Street. He will discuss rescue swimmers’ training and highlight some high-profile rescues, a release stated.

Roscher will also discuss the role of the Coast Guard in maritime law enforcement, search and rescue and aids to navigation. He will also talk about the U.S. Coast Guard’s roles in World War I, World War II, Vietnam, the Gulf wars and the wars on drugs. The public is invited to attend.  ...
