Roosevelt Foster Sr., 87, of Hayes, died on April 15, 2022.

He was born on Sept. 26, 1933 to the late Charlie and Ora Foster.

Mr. Foster worked for Shacklefords Seafood for 50 years until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mary Foster; son, Roosevelt Foster Jr.; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 25, at First Morning Star Baptist Church, Hayes. A viewing will begin at 10 a.m. at the church prior to the service. The burial will be held at Gloucester Field Cemetery following the service.
