Local favorites “The Ballast Band,” above, performed on Saturday night at the fifth annual Rock ’n Rotary event at the Abingdon Ruritan Club, Bena. The event, sponsored by the Gloucester and Gloucester Point Rotary clubs, included dinner catered by Olivia’s in the Village, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle and many other attractions. The “Rockin” part of the Valentine’s party was provided by “The Ballast Band” and “Settle Down Jack,” as people filled the dance floor and kicked up their heels in the fundraiser for the two clubs, bottom photo. ...
